Last month we had a serious problem with tree roaches. Those are the really big ones that come in from the outside. Once I see one the only thing I can do is scream at the top of my lungs. The hair on my neck stands just thinking about them...Yuk!
I called Terminex and they came out and sprayed twice. Osameh also bought some stuff from Home Depot and sprayed but they were not going to be deterred. The housekeeper found three of them, one under my bed. I quit sleeping there. Then the lawn guy came by and told me the only way to get rid of them was to get rid of the bushes and for $200 dollars he did the deed.
Well, I didn't care what it took. The day the bushes came out they were all over the place. Chuy, the lawn guy, found their nest and Osameh sprayed the mulch with boric acid (it is supposed to eat through their shells).
I know...you are thinking "what the hell is she telling us this for??"
Well, I got rid of them. I have been feeling really at ease knowing they are gone, even though I just got a letter from the homeowners association wondering what I plan to do with the landscaping. I was just telling Osameh what a relief it is not to be wondering where the next roach will be and I headed to the restroom. I sit down, and something, just something, tells me to look at the toilet seat. I get up and peek, and I still don't know why I got up, but I found a freaking lizard. AHHHH!
The ugly thing jumps at me and I run out screaming and shaking. Osameh had to come in and kill it. I am still traumatized.
How am I going to get rid of the lizards?

Ahhhh, Dork, Lizards eat bugs. Come on, don't freaking kill them. I can't understand people you hate bugs but kill off the things that feed on them. As for landscaping, ask them how much they are giving you to plant something. If they want landscaping make them plant you some flowers or something.
That lizard was killed in self defense. He attacked me. Our area is Deed Restricted. That means we have to follow a whole bunch of rules.
