I know what you are thinking, we didn't have these in our days. Yep, you're right, we didn't. I used to cry when I was reminded the summer was almost over. No one ever threw a party (maybe they did and I wasn't invited). Yesterday we had a great get together for Afif and his friends. I think I had more fun than Afif did. He woke up real early because he was excited and by the time the party ended he was tired and fussy.
Today was Jeneane's big day. She invited her friends and she had a whole schedule going. I told her no one could come until my Turkish Soaps (yes, I'm that obsessed) were over, so the girls got here around 6:30. They headed to the pool till 8:30 then had a balloon fight till 9:00. They just went upstairs with two movies and some pizza. It's so cute. They talked about how they hate boys (I hope that lasts for a few more years) and complained about teachers, and giggled.
Afif built a fort in the middle of the playroom to let them know who is boss. They had to beg him to use the room and when he finally agreed we had to relocate his fort to my room where he will only let me in with permission and a secret word. It looks like I'll be sleeping on the couch today.
Osameh called from Miami five times reminding me to lock the doors and hide the keys. I don't know what he thinks is going to happen. All these stories on CNN have turned him into a crazy freak.
All I know is, I have a pancake breakfast to cook and I'm home free.....
