We took a short vacation to Dallas last week. It was really last minute but Osama was going for a last minute meeting and I kind of invited myself to tag along (with the kids and Mom). The hotel we stayed in was awesome. The Hilton Anatole had so many different pieces of art and collectibles. The kids really enjoyed walking around and exploring. Actually, we took more pictures at the hotel than we did anywhere else.
I got to see my brother and Sandy. No, that's not his wife, it's his squirrel. He named her Sandy after the squirrel on Spongebob. She is adorable. About five minutes into my visit to his apartment my asthma and allergies kicked in. My nose started running and my eyes watering. I guess with that many animals, it's always allergy season in his home.
Our sleeping arrangement was pathetic. All night long we kept moving around. Osama found this so entertaining he kept giggling till 4 a.m. Then he got up, started turning the lights on and off and singing happy birthday to my mom. The kids got up thinking we were going to have a party. We didn't get any rest or sleep.
The next day Osama, Mom, and I headed to the executive lounge (the benefit of all those traveling points) and of course people sit around networking. This guy starts a conversation with Osama, who without sleep turns into a mess, and asks him what he does. Osama said he works for IBM or "The big blue". The man got so excited, "I do so much business with IBM. What do you do for IBM?" Osama says, "you know that security guy who opens the gate?" The guy now looks confused and mom and I are laughing our bums off. "Yeah," the guy hesitates. "That's me. I'm security guard there." Needless to say that conversation ended quickly.
I am posting my favortie pics.....enjoy!
